I’m an atheist who values reason, evidence, and critical thinking over faith or tradition. I don’t believe ideas deserve immunity from scrutiny simply because they’re religious, cultural, or widely accepted.

My interest in science began early, shaped by writers like Isaac Asimov and Sir Arthur C. Clarke, who reinforced a skeptical and inquisitive mindset. In class seven or eight, driven by curiosity, I read Bengali translations of the Quran and the Bible. Many of their claims conflicted with basic science and logic, leading me to question their coherence.

This skepticism pushed me to explore the historical origins of religious myths, where the absence of credible evidence further strengthened my doubts - particularly regarding the Abrahamic religions. In contrast, Buddhism and early Taoism appeared to me as philosophical systems rather than myth-based belief structures.

Regularly challenging unscientific religious claims at school became second nature, and over time, this process solidified my identity as an atheist grounded in reason, evidence, and critical inquiry.
